I thought it might be of interest to place here certain quotations and epigraphs which bear on the story, since on a webpage things aren't laid out as they would be in a printed book, and I'm book-minded. So as not to deprive electronic readers, here I'll present the epigraphs, so far ..
To Volume One, "Queen City Stranger:"
